why Poppies on ANZAC day?

The reason we have poppies on Anzac Day is because
the red poppy or Flanders poppy (its proper name)
was one of the first plants to grow
in the mud and dirt of Flanders in Belgium
after the fighting during WWI of 1914-18. 
It became a symbol for us
to remember those who fought in the war
and died on the battlefields.

 

life in a pandemic

Life in a pandemic has been hard. It's changed the way I learn, sleep and even think because I can't go to school, town or my friends house to socialize. I am missing out on my weekly swimming lessons and this winter there is also no league for us to play as a team. Home school is very different and hard sometimes to concentrate and stay on task as I’m used to home being where I play.  I have to battle the urge to get up and play when I should be doing my school work.  I have trouble going to bed early enough because it doesn’t really feel like a school night so then I sleep in too much in the morning and makes me feel tired which makes it hard to do school work too. It gets kind of boreing but I am quite lucky that my family has a big chunk of farmland so I can bike around and get some exercise. I sometimes miss my friends but it's ok because every week we have a google hangout so we can talk to each other. I am also helping out with jobs around the house like getting the mail and paper on my bike.  I have also done a lot of cooking and made tea a couple of times like tuna pasta bake, baked bean quiche and last but not least a great big cheesy lasagna that lasted for two nights. So in conclusion I guess it's not all bad.

The story takes place in medieval times when King Troy ruled over it. It was a peaceful life growing food, building walls and exploring the land. There were no taxes either but one day another king got jealous and wanted to destroy his castle. So he sent his soldiers to conquer it but the guards of King Troys castle saw them and prepared for battle. They got their weapons, they woke up their dragons and the wizards used their magic to make the men stronger and summon mythical Beasts to fight them. Soon the evil troops got there and it was war. The archers and mages shot arrows of fire, ice and lightning then the knights and spearman both charged at them along side the golems, wolves and giants. Both sides fought hard but the evil side eventually ran out of troops so he got his strongest men and his dragons and just before the two sides were about to collide everything went blurry and I woke up realizing it was just a dream. The end… (I mean what did you expect how could a ten year old be a medieval king)

Making tea for my family

A few nights ago I  helped my mum make tea, we made tuna pasta bake. It was super fun and was deelishis. we also tried something new and put bread crumbs on it and here are some photos.

Once there was an evil alien planet all and the aliens on it wanted to kill all the people on earth because there …evil? I guess (shut up i don't have to explain myself) so they got in there ufos and  went to earth meanwhile people saw them and called the T force and they are Kirsty Jack my dog Turbo and me Troy and they arrived to fight the aliens on a spaceship and then turbo the dog jumped out and started shooting most of them down with gatling guns then Kirsty grew to the size of a building and started smashing them against each other but the ufos were coming in fast there were now alien robots monsters and foot soldiers so Jack turned into a dragon and burned all the aliens to the ground but then the alien queen jumped out from the mothership and shot all three of them down. It was all up to Troy.  He got a gigantic sword and sliced and diced all her weird tentacle things off then jumped into a giant robot (I don't know how it got there) and fired all its weapons, lasers, fire, missiles, bullets and tacos? (I don't even know anymore) and blew her to smithereens then the robot rebuilt the city and then all the people ate tacos.the end.
