                          The T Force vs The Demon Squid 

 The story starts at the edge of the galaxy where an evil wizard was conducting magic experiments. He found a way to make terrifying creatures from stardust such as the crocowolf (a wolf and crocodile), the bearrilla (a bear and a gorilla), and the flaming lizardasaurous (a lizard and a dinosaur on fire). But worst of all was the demon squid. “Haha” said the wizard, “with these creatures I will take over the galaxy” but then the squid ate him and all the other creatures then set off to find more stuff to eat. The squid travelled the galaxy eating planets, moons and even darth vader's death star. It finally came to earth and the avengers tried to stop it but they all got eaten too (well……..What did you expect? That thing already ate 3,000,000 planets). Earth was doomed so the prime minister called THE T FORCE (that's right they’re back!!!).  They are me, my dog Turbo, Kirsty and Jack. They threw a bunch of fireballs and laser blasts then Jack turned into a dinosaur and blasted an enormous stream of green fire. Turbo grew to the size of the moon which meant he could take on the fight against the Demon Squid.  He wasn’t as big as the squid but he was fast and was able to bite off the tentacles of the squid one by one.  The Demon Squid was now a giant blob with no limbs. Kirsty was her own one man support crew cheering on Jack and Turbo but then it lashed out its tounge and swallowed them whole (yeah you would think it would have been full by now).  It was now all up to Troy. “It’s all up to me” said Troy (hey I just said that said the narrator). “How about you have a taste of your own medicine” said Troy as he went into cartoon mode and so his head grew and grew until it was bigger than the squid itself.  He then took one giant bite and swallowed the Demon Squid whole. Troy then realized he didn’t like the taste of squid and barfed up everything the squid had eaten back into its rightful place. The evil wizard then thought it was best not to try that again.   The End.

 Once there was an evil alien planet all and the aliens on it wanted to kill all the people on earth because there …evil? I guess (shut up i don't have to explain myself) so they got in there ufos and  went to earth meanwhile people saw them and called the T force and they are Kirsty Jack my dog Turbo and me Troy and they arrived to fight the aliens on a spaceship and then turbo the dog jumped out and started shooting most of them down with gatling guns then Kirsty grew to the size of a building and started smashing them against each other but the ufos were coming in fast there were now alien robots monsters and foot soldiers so Jack turned into a dragon and burned all the aliens to the ground but then the alien queen jumped out from the mothership and shot all three of them down. It was all up to Troy.  He got a gigantic sword and sliced and diced all her weird tentacle things off then jumped into a giant robot (I don't know how it got there) and fired all its weapons, lasers, fire, missiles, bullets and tacos? (I don't even know anymore) and blew her to smithereens then the robot rebuilt the city and then all the people ate tacos.the end.

 The story takes place in medieval times when king Troy ruled over it; it was a peaceful life growing food, building walls and exploring the land. There were no taxes ether but one day another king got jealous and wanted to destroy his castle so he sent his soldiers to conquer it but the guards of king Troys castle saw them and prepared for battle they got their weapons they woke up there dragons and the wizards used there magic to make the men stronger and Summon mythical Beasts to fight them as well and as soon as the evil troops got there it was war.the archers and mages shot arrows and bolts of fire ice and lightning then the nights and spearman both charged at them along side the golems wolves and giants both sides fought hard but the evil side eventually ran out of troops so he got his strongest men and his dragons and just before the two sides were about to collide everything went blurry and i woke up realizing it was just a dream.the end… (i mean what did you expect how could a eleven year old be a medieval king)

 Once there was a space explorer and he was busy flying throw space on his super cool space plane (have i said space enough?). Anyway he was flying around minding his own business when he hit an asteroid and got flung into a wormhole (because aparintle spaceships don't have brecks).he had been knocked out and when he woke up he realized he was on another planet and in the middle of an intergalactic alien war.there were two types of aliens there were strange purple mushrooms called the shroobs and huge lizards creatures called lizards and they were at war. soon the shroobs saw him and they stopped fighting and tried to capere him but the lizards stopped them and started firing lots of lasers and explosives so the shroobs retreated.the lizards took him back to their base and told him that the shrobs invaded their planet to take it over but space explorer didn't want that to happen so he got his ship and started shooting all of them down with lasers missiles and bombs but then the shroobs brot out an enormous dinosaur with huge spikes.the space explorer pressed a button and his ship turned into a robot and shot all it weapons lasers missiles and fire (hey is it just me or does this sound a lot like my free choice writing 1).anyway the dinosaur died the shroobs then tried to destroy it but the robot shot them all with a giant laser and they all got blown to smithereens then the space explorer whet back to earth and a the people at nasa decided not to that far out into space next time ok the end…..(wow i think this is my longest storey yet)

The tianoboa

The titanoboa was one of the biggest snakes in history.Have you ever heard of a snake that had jaws big enough to eat entire crocodiles in just one bite.The titanoboa was one of the most deadly predators of the Paleogene Period with enormous jaws and fangs it had the strength to rival a tyrannosaurus rex unforchinitly the titanoboa live after the dinosaurs died out so these big reptiles never met but we can always speculate.

Red is the colour of heat

It feels hot like fire

And it has an odd smell though

Red is a bit smoky

And dirty

And makes a loud crackling,

Sparkling sound

Green is the colour of plants

And feels soft

Like a leaf in the spring.

Things I learnt about hornets

Although we don't have many hornets in New Zealand.
They are in Asia and sometimes attack bee hives.
But luckily bees have a defense mechanism to get rid of them.
They let the hornet come into their hive then they tell each other by shaking their abdomen,
that they will then swarm the hornet  in large numbers.
They do not sting the hornet, instead they all vibrate to heat it up until it dies,
because the bees can survive 118 degrees fahrenheit (47.7 degrees Celsius) but the hornets
can only survive 115 degrees fahrenheit (46.1 degrees Celsius).
So the bee hive is safe again.         

why Poppies on ANZAC day?

The reason we have poppies on Anzac Day is because
the red poppy or Flanders poppy (its proper name)
was one of the first plants to grow
in the mud and dirt of Flanders in Belgium
after the fighting during WWI of 1914-18. 
It became a symbol for us
to remember those who fought in the war
and died on the battlefields.

 

life in a pandemic

Life in a pandemic has been hard. It's changed the way I learn, sleep and even think because I can't go to school, town or my friends house to socialize. I am missing out on my weekly swimming lessons and this winter there is also no league for us to play as a team. Home school is very different and hard sometimes to concentrate and stay on task as I’m used to home being where I play.  I have to battle the urge to get up and play when I should be doing my school work.  I have trouble going to bed early enough because it doesn’t really feel like a school night so then I sleep in too much in the morning and makes me feel tired which makes it hard to do school work too. It gets kind of boreing but I am quite lucky that my family has a big chunk of farmland so I can bike around and get some exercise. I sometimes miss my friends but it's ok because every week we have a google hangout so we can talk to each other. I am also helping out with jobs around the house like getting the mail and paper on my bike.  I have also done a lot of cooking and made tea a couple of times like tuna pasta bake, baked bean quiche and last but not least a great big cheesy lasagna that lasted for two nights. So in conclusion I guess it's not all bad.

Making tea for my family

A few nights ago I  helped my mum make tea, we made tuna pasta bake. It was super fun and was deelishis. we also tried something new and put bread crumbs on it and here are some photos.
